This is an unofficial campaign summarizing your 2025 GitHub
activity. It uses publicly available APIs and builds on the
great open-source work from Remotion's official 2023 campaign 🙏
Why I Built This
I spent most of 2025 researching/pitching/building Wrapped
campaigns, and I think most companies are doing them wrong.
They're burning money on uninteresting, unshareable content
that misses the point entirely.
The standard approach is: fetch API data, allow users to
click through a story format, hope people share images at
select points. But why stop with just API data? Let users
customize which stats to show, and add their own commentary,
hot takes, and goals. Make something that reflects them,
even if the data has not captured that.
The Three Hurdles
Every wrapped campaign should aim to clear three bars:
-
Will the user share it? (Is it interesting? Are they
proud or surprised?)
-
Will their friends engage with it? (Does it work for
people who aren't the subject?)
-
Will algorithms promote it? (Video wins here – which was
tricky and expensive until Web Codecs API made
client-side rendering viable)
GitHub Compiled tackles all three. You build your own
shareable asset by placing components on a breadboard, add
your opinions on AI and web dev, and export a video that's
actually designed to perform on social media.
